What to expect from your Osteopathic appointment during COVID-19

To ensure your safety, we would like to make you aware of some of the measures we are taking:

A clinic Risk Assessment has been done, and new clinic protocols are in place, in order to establish and maintain infection prevention and control - these will continue to be updated in line with Government, professional body, and HSE guidelines - a copy can be emailed upon request, or can be found here

Before Your Appointment

  • A COVID screening questionnaire will be sent out before your appointment for you to fill in and send back - this is to ensure that no patient attends whilst suffering symptoms of COVID - a copy can be found here​​

Your Appointment

We will ask that you:

  • DO NOT arrive early for your appointment, as we have allowed 30 minutes between each patient for cleaning​

  • Wear a surgical mask - if you do not have one, we can provide one for £1

  • DO NOT bring any personal possessions with you to the treatment, and if possible, please come alone - if you do require a chaperone, we ask that they too wear a mask, use hand sanitiser and socially distance throughout the treatment

  • Bring your own freshly laundered towels for your warmth and comfort, as all linen has been removed from the clinic

  • Answer the screening questions again upon arrival for your appointment

  • We will check your temperature at the door before you can enter the clinic

  • Use hand sanitiser upon arrival

  • Keep 2 metres away from others at all times except during the treatment

  • Keep touch points to a minimum throughout your time in the clinic

  • Only use the clinic toilet if essential

  • If possible; pay via BACs prior to your treatment, to further reduce risk, otherwise, we do have a card machine that will be cleaned after every use

  • Use hand santiser after your treatment before you leave the clinic

Please DO NOT ATTEND YOUR APPOINTMENT if you have any of the following symptoms:

* New persistent cough

* Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

* Raised temperature/fever (over 37.8)

* Loss or change of smell/taste

* Nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea

* If anyone in your household is suffering from symptoms of COVID-19

* If you have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or is exhibiting       symptoms

* If you have travelled anywhere abroad in the last 14 days

Your Practitioner & PPE

 

Your practitioner will be in full PPE - this consists of a mask, eye protection, gloves and an apron

Your practitioner will fully adhere to PPE 'donning and doffing' guidelines

Due to the extra time we are having to spend cleaning, our capacity will be reduced, so you may have to wait a little longer than normal for an appointment. Thank you for your understanding at this time
